Wish

Wish

A Poem by RainbowEmerald
"

I wrote this in 2013 when i was 14 years old, I believe its the first poem i ever wrote that wasnt a school assignment.

"
I may have never met you but I knew we had a bond
I wish I could just poof you back using a magic wand
I didn't want a brother, I wanted a sister instead
But now that you're gone that's what I wish I never said
You were never given a chance at life
I wish that I could switch
So you could be down here with mom and dad
And I could have my wish

Thank you!
Sad little poem here of a sibling that didn't make it. A death that has caused pain and regret. If only we had magic wands for these moments

Yes, if only we could all use magic to bring back those we love.
What a striking poem! Even though I have not been through the depicted pain, I can feel your pain. Probably because the wording is a dialogue?
