Part Of Life's Eternal Rhyme

Part Of Life's Eternal Rhyme

A Poem by Carissa
"

I was watching Charlotte's Web with my son and the part with that song came on and I was just inspired to write this.

"

Born one day,
So very small,
Not knowing,
That we're all here for just a little while,
It may seem endless,
But, we all meet our end one day,
We're all here for a purpose though,
Some may never realize just what theirs is,
But, I assure you,
We all have one,
There's a reason for everything,
Even when we can't seem to understand,
We're all a part of life's eternal rhyme,
Neverending,
The cycle of life,
Each day,
New lives enter the world,
And, others leave,
Never really knowing why,
Always questioning,
That's the way we were made,
Full of wonder,
And, as a another question is answered,
Two more are asked,
Another endless cycle,
But, that's just the way things go,
And, instead of being sad,
Knowing we're all born to die,
I cherish the time I have,
I wish to leave my mark on this world,
For even when we leave,
Many times,
Our lives are never forgotten,
They live on,
As part of life's eternal rhyme.

Your poem forces the reader to face reality and reminds that each day needs to be cherished. I really like your title and how it unfolds with the last two lines. You give great explanation throughout your well written poem.
