Florentine mystery

Florentine mystery

A Poem by Rainbow333

Wandering over the beautiful Arno
where her graceful waters flow...
golden rays dance upon Ponte Vecchio...
and colorful shops ring rivers of sapphire.

Villas reflecting her watercolors
twilight glazes her distant windows
and in one ancient frame I saw...
a silhouette gazing, faintly veiled.

Dimly glowing, a ghostly visage
clothed in a memorial Renaissance
Oh the moment took away my breath...
sending chills all along my back.

Oh Florence, your haunting beauty
glimmers and whispers in glow of evening
as your stars ripple a sheen of gray
the Ghost shimmers and fades away...

Or am i the Traveler here, pausing briefly
gazing through her portals mysteriously
in silver veils donning a shroud
on Old Bridge connecting the past to now..
Ponte Vecchio... you are forever magical.
