Broken Heart-Broken Dream

Broken Heart-Broken Dream

A Poem by Emily Michael

You told me you truly loved me,
The day before you left.
You hugged me and kissed me,
Stopping every breath.
You ran away to be with her.
Thinking it wouldn't hurt me.
But how could you be sure?
You think i really don't care
But it's just the mask i wear.

If you knew i still love you,
Would you have ever left?
When you kissed me,
Did you feel my heart flutter.
When you wanted to be with her,
Did you care how i would feel.
I'm secretly in love with you,
Do you feel it too?

This is a great poem that I enjoyed reading. I really don't see anywhere you could improve this particular piece of writing. You convey the emotions that you felt throughout the poem. I could tell that this is a very personal poem that you poured your energies into. I could literally feel your sadness within this exceptional poem. Great job!
