Heart versus Head

Heart versus Head

A Poem by Emily Michael

One day, I listened to my heart.
And my head told me no.
The next day, I listened to my head.
And my heart ached with remorse.

The endless cycle of your heart and head.
Will there ever come a day when they agree?

Yes.
In every person's life there is but one day.
One day where the feud ends.
One day when you're at bliss.

When one finds their true love,
All disputes will be solved,
All worries will be forgotten.

Because with this one day of bliss,
This one day of joy,
All feuds will end
Between your heart and your head.

There is no such thing as a bad poem lass.
We strive to convey through words that which only the heart can speak and so much is lost in the translation.
Love deeply and without fear.
Lift up your heart and break through the darkness.
