Alice needs to come to terms with her broken life and tries to pick up the pieces the person she loved most shattered.
People say hate is ugly and bitter and it is. I hate you. I hate you so much my heart has grown blackened by bitterness, I hate you so much my blood burns with the lust for revenge. My hate for you is overwhelming and overpowering. I didn't realise it was possible to feel such an emotion for one person, I hate you so bitterly it keeps me awake at night. But yet, I love you. I always have I always will. Love and hate, you can't have one without the other. That's where I went wrong, I thought love as an emotion nothing could overpower the, until you did what you did and hate came in like huge drowning wave. I wake up at night, every night thinking of you. I see you in everything I do, the autumn leaves are the colour of your hair, the sea is the colour of your eyes. I think of you in the day and dream of you at night. You were my everything, until you did what you did.
I hope you do carry on. Hate is as you point out as strong an emotion as love and there is much truth in the saying (badly paraphrased here)
- love me I win, I get to live in your heart;
hate me I win, I get to live in your head.
Letting go means exactly that or else you condemn yourself to having a lodger, some would say parasite for life.
Very forthright writing which I appreciate Rain.
