The Heart Broken Cycle

 

 

      Today was another lie

 

      So easy, yet so wrong

 

     Wishing I could spread my wings and fly

 

      Listening to the usual sad songs

 

      Thought I could trust him, but yet that was a mistake

 

      Hit by his betrayal, back on the floor I go

 

     Wondering how much more pounding my heart can possibly take

 

      Every time I see him, his smile is like another throw

 

      I know I'll get over him, one day at least

 

      But for now I'll cry tears he doesn't disserve

 

      To me now he's nothing but a beautiful beast

 

      Seeing how he can move on so happily hits some hurtful nerves

 

      Moving on seems to be the hardest part

 

      Watching a fake love fade to black

 

      It truly takes a piece of my soul and my heart

 

      This cycle leaves me broken and cracked

Guys can be jerks, and this one seems like he truly didn't deserve you.
Its hard to move on but the fact that hes an a*****e makes it just a little easier.
Hes nothing special and doesn't deserve your tears that's very true.
Good luck moving on and i hope you soon find your prince the one that treats you like a princess because this guy defiantly wasn't him.

Anyway great poem hun makes for a great poem when you really put your heart into it and you clearly did.
You write like a true writer, and i enjoyed this peace.
I could feel your emotions and heartbreak very clearly and the depth in your words.

Nothing like breaking up, to be damage by love, by your partner. We all want relationships to last, but of course love is like us, sometimes it's not totally perfect. And the bigger question is: How do I move on? I like that question in this poem. I feel like that's the poem's goal, but of course you've written this well that makes us feel your heartbreak. I just hope everything goes well.

Awwwwwwwwwwah, this is so sad. When love goes wrong it is hard to deal with and hard to feel happy once that 'cycle' has been broken. Just be strong, and keep your chin up.
