A Tree Named Tim

A Tree Named Tim

A Poem by Chris T.

Aged structure
worn with time
Dried and rotten veins
Strained
with a gentle breeze

Broken
with a violent wind

Scarred
The hardened core is
scarred

with a carved
        out
      heart

Faded love surrounds
          CT & AP
Faded love surrounds

The venerable tree creaks
and
groans
and far below its decaying boughs
The spark of death
not Life
Ignites
and enshrouds

Flames lick the heart
Burning with
no hope
no hope
no
hope

No i do get what you meant and i did mean astray. It's about the interest spark but moving on from that. This poem is tangible and can be applied to many things in the way of dying from the inside out with out a chance for more. I like the fact that there isn't hope , it makes it more of a realist then an optomist. Well written and has a harsh flow , which im a fan of.
