Play Pretend

Play Pretend

A Poem by Chris T.
"

Thought provoking.

"

Play charades!
Affix our tie clips and
suits with a snug fit
Grasp the buckled clasps
of a worn leather case
Migrate from place to place
wearing the same porcelain face
It’s a 9-5 grind engrained
in aging mechanical minds

What am I?

Play charades!
Slice off the silk vice
Burn embossed glossed business cards
Stain your plain porcelain face
with smears of societal fears
Do something totally random and sporadic that was not expected by anyone.

What am I?
