sahara

sahara

A Poem by PianoandPage
"

written in 10 minutes with no editing. writing and posting this just to break the ice on a long bout of writer's block.

"

The silence takes my skin

eloquent vibrations under saharan sand.

There are so many things I want to say

but pores are creosote blooms

aromatic pricklers that cast an aura with no shadows

simultaneously inviting with a push to the backside of my meaning

stay there rest your hair on my neck

and sink

the cactus wrens will nest in my shoulderblades

seeking nectar placed deep within by your eyes

wisdom hued and forgiving

willing to love the spartan landscape of my question.

Oh my god! You need to go through writer's block more often>> I find unstructured, poetic rambles more intriguing than anything else anyway>> And this tickled my sweet spot. The metaphoric images place me right in your picture and make me swoon with envy>> How I do love your cathartic disgorge of thought>>

I just checked in on you today and found this. Some of the lines give me goosbumps, they are that good.

"stay there
rest your hair on my neck " and

"willing to love the Spartan
landscape of my question." in particular really grabbed me. You've got a tremendous amount of raw talent.

Ohhh yes the desert that is the writers block, I was there too, didn't see you wandering around?! Welcome back and it's a good return, dreamlike piece, I can see it but I can't quite grasp it. Nice.

I like your abstractions; and I missed your poems. It's experience of the mysterious. I hope you have a reflective Christmas time.
