castlesA Chapter by PianoandPagethe intricate brickwork of your castle your keep keep away keep running it’s familiar. defenses left standing – stranded in the islands of your eyes. sentinels never relieved or released as hot joyous tears tearing down your cheeks. the watch fires burn in your fortress your battlements meant to battle bottled up emotions i know how that can choke you to apathy. it’s easier to become passive and dig in for a siege than it is to rush honor and bloody your beliefs and would it be cliché to say that i can relate? the plate mail chinks cheerfully but would it kill you to discard your past-beaten armor? amore? it’s hard to love you when a mirror coats your heart.
