Peaceful Shoulders

Peaceful Shoulders

A Poem by PianoandPage
"

this is forever inspired and dedicated to my great friend, julie e.

"

she has peaceful shoulders
a rythmically racing rune that speaks directly to my soul
like her
i like her unafraidedness
i pull her meditation apart and it falls to the shape of her henna tattoo
to the shadows of my curious gaze
and she stays on the sombre stage steps of this urban violin
it's too perfect for poet
those writers need drama and her dalai lama eyes are as serene as the sunset that almost went unnoticed
by those who have bubbles for secrets
bubbles that when broken turn moments to rumbling sighs of disclose and deny.
but her tongue has a taste for clarity
and her space is never off limits you see
i was invited because i chose to see peace where all others saw lonliness
and i chose to see beauty instead of my homliness
my homeless distraction just begging for a change of pace
so i let it trace around the faded brown symbology of her
and i become content and joyous again
my distraction falls to rest and i finally feel that it is safe to start speaking again.
