Airplane

Airplane

A Poem by PianoandPage
"

this is just a little poem i found in a journal i kept 10 years ago.

"

and this time the window is my left

view upon the dropping earth below

my stomach races to gain my breath

upon our waxing icarus ascent

the steam of gods is now our bed

we bounce upon its galing springs

but turbulence demands respect

for we fly upon the frailest wings.

I was drawn to this title seeing as how I spend so much of my life in the air and I was not disappointed.

the steam of gods is now our bed
we bounce upon its galing springs
but turbulence demands respect
for we fly upon the frailest wings

I am often looking out of aircraft windows and trying to find new ways to describe the clouds so I love this original description of the steam of gods being a bed. At risk of repeating myself, I do always find your descriptions so original and your images are delightful. So glad you are back with us :)
