JealousA Poem by PianoandPageCant sleep. Listening to music and missing my baby. Started writing and this came out.the self-same silences stretching aching arching archery comes naturally to me tension at my fingertips even over phone lines I touch you target practice on that bottom lip lips bottommine to fill filet and filigree with fragrances that remind you of summer shining and my hair i want to pierce your Irish blush with Scottish thorns plucking the crimson carousels from your secret rivers a rush of porcelain innocence water-falling through my smirking countenance
ive lost count of the moments you caught me at my best comforted me at my worst and begged for the exquisite mixture of both you are my beautiful like, you define the word, give it life lungs and legskneeling folded over creases and lines like calligraphy and origami joined in unholy matrimony just so I can spread you out and feel your secrets spelled out on my tongue i want to run rough over you reckless with joy and jealous of every moment the world gets to hold you without me at your side © 2015 PianoandPage |
