InseperableA Poem by Raging ThunderLove story of 2 estranged lovers
The temple bells my slumber broke,
I prayed to an idol in stone And to the voice of a mosque she woke Where a dead may laid entombed Her structured heart, a palace seemed And from a window she did smile From those lovely eyes, few sparkles beamed, Which enchanted for a while Our shoulders rubbed in an alley dark And the love just natural felt And when I heard that beautiful voice, I felt my heart could melt This meeting brief, its mark did leave, I gazed at stars all night And every time she crossed my mind My face would brightly light. Her cascade black did winding flow Her lips were deep as blood, And to her eyes an grayish glow, With love my heart did flood. She had the most parochial parents But mine weren't far behind And every time we'd be together Those wretched souls would find. I had been beaten, my back was lashed, But my love did strength me give And every time my love was thrashed I could not that devil forgive. The wounds did hurt lot more than death But the wounds were her not mine Her sorrow caused a choking death And her tears pricked like a pine Our parents seemed like heartless creatures Who, for love could care no less They felt that love was a sinful feeling But the divinity they could not guess On the break of dawn, on a winter day My love did captivate I went up to the terrace of my sorrowful house And wrote an eternal fate Few hours had passed at the gates of God When suddenly my love did me kiss And we live here now since eternities past And not a moment with her did I miss. © 2012 Raging Thunder |
