He is my SpringA Poem by Petals & Pearls
Like the rain upon sun beaten earth
He drowned my soul with hope and glee Where barren lands once did reside Wild flowers can now run free Like the wind that carries a seed of hope Into lands where life has past away Where the sun now stretches forth its beams And nourishment from its ray Where the bloom does show itself in spring And the warmth does fill the air Mother Nature awakens and wipes her eyes Then sheds the burden of winter’s wear Like the chirp of birds now singing Come to nest once more this year Their song is that of laughter What a pleasant sound to hear He is all these things to me A season of hope and spring Where he wanders, so does heaven And new beginnings he does bring My life was like a winter long Bitter cold and ashen gray Until he graced me with his love And the precious buds of May …He is my spring. © 2011 Petals & Pearls |
