Starry Autumn Night

Starry Autumn Night

A Poem by Petals & Pearls

A field of flowers running wild
As firefly's dance on the breeze
Autumn nears as the leaves are turning
Upon the tall beech trees

A blue bird sings a song of love
As the sun is setting up above
The smell of rain and leaves lingers in the air
The wonders of a world forgotten yet beautiful beyond compare

The stars shine as bright as day
The good night owl hoots away
The crickets start to play there song
The moon is full the night is long

The diamond sky glistens
Like sequins upon a gown
The emotions of the night are deep
Where one could nearly drown

I dance in the rain like a child
As the crickets give me the beat
The grass is soft and pleasant
Beneath my two bare feet

I stand in awe of the world
And in all of God's creation
And I thank you Lord for life
It's been a hit sensation

This is beautiful. I love your imagery, and the ryhme scheme of this poem. M favortie line is
"The emotions of the night are deep
Where one could nearly drown"

Good, abstract imagery here. This is great work.
