Sister

Sister

A Poem by Petals & Pearls
"

I wrote this for my sister tonight, before vising her for in jail for the first time.

"

Sister, you changed my life
When you came into this world it was a gift
There's nothing I wouldn't give for you
I'll be your guiding light when your soul's adrift

I would part the heavens for you
Swim the ocean blue
Brave a desert of despair
Little sister, RooBear

You are everything to me
And that you will always be
Nothing in this world
could make me love you any less

Sister, I miss your laugh
I miss your face smiling up at me
Sister, I won't say goodbye
I'd rather die than give up on you

My heart is always open to you
I ache without you here with me
I think of you every day
I'll be there with arms spread wide when they set you free

I can't wait to hold you close
Wrap my arms around you tight
Kiss your pretty face goodnight
I'll never let you go again, my sister, my friend

I love you more than words can say
and more with every passing day
I'll do my best to show you
Just how much you mean to me

There will come another day
when all this pain has gone away
I'll still be there for you
Having never left your side

Sister, I miss your laugh
I miss your face smiling up at me
Sister, I won't say goodbye
I'd rather die than give up on you

Sister... sister, my love is true.
