Stop it now!

Stop it now!

A Poem by Raghib

Stop it now! Stop it now!

That’s enough sin for a day.

Hold my hand and let go,

Of the evils you committed.

Even if you are the Devil,

Remember those moments you prayed.

I will not forsake you, for

I know that innocence inside you.

My conscience urges me,

To not save you oh Satan!

But where were you wrong,

In your own part of life?

Even if god forbids,

I will fight the angels for you.

Why was that honor,

Snatched away from your hands?

Why was that acceptance,

Never a part of your life?

Stop it now! Stop it now!

I’ll die for your sins today.

Stop it now! Stop it now!

You do not have to live in this hell.

It wasn’t you, who was all wrong,

Denial and rejection made you this.

Only if god had been forgiving,

There would have never been any sins.

If the meaning of this one isn't symbolic, what we have here is someone lecturing Satan. The speaker is quite vehement, actually takes the horned one's side, saying God should have been more forgiving. I probably wouldn't try this defense in a court of law.

This is deep. I love the whole idea behind it, I kind of see it as saying "A bad person isn't born bad, they were made bad". Its a really beautiful poem, Glad I got the chance to read it!!!

This sound like the person who is frustrated to watch a beloved friend or romantic lover going down a bad path. Unfortunately, it doesn't help to speak stridently & plead over & over with this wayfaring person. Each person has to see it for themselves, in their own time. But you've done a great job of showing how hard it can be to let go, how hard it can be to see it happen, how much we want to warn this other person from their own choices! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I don't know what you had in mind but when I read this it tells me never to give up on anyone and try to understand people instead of judging them.Beautiful thoughts!

True Raghib! Every creature has a heart inside as well as evils. They were also kind someday maybe but went through such harsh that their kindness converted to sin today. All they need is a helping hand that could bring them stretching from the Satan's behalf. That reminds me the dialogue of Ek villain film which Shraddha Kapoor had said!
Remember?

You're true on your side! But my comment was to show the other one.
