Free yourself

Free yourself

A Poem by Raghib
"

Sometimes darkness can show you the light !

"
I saw your darkened soul,
Trapped in a cage of sorrows.
Turn away from the scene, For
Today I'll show you a world never seen.
Were you fooled these many times,
This truth will never be known.
If this world is such a hateful place,
You smile but never look away.
Today you'll dance in the sunny day,
Matching your steps with the fiery rays.
Run with the howling wind,
Reach those places that you feared.
Sitting on the rooftops,
Break away and then contemplate.
If your world ends today,
Will you die without a trace ?
Who will follow your path of tears,
Unless you show a glowing way.
I'll wait for your darkened soul today,
Freed from the cage of sorrows.
Show the world today, how
Darkness can show us the light !

Has a spiritual sound to it, as of an enlightened being preaching to the masses. Good imagery.

One of the best uplifting messages I've read in awhile! This is really playful & imaginative & original. I like the way you note (at first) that someone is in the dumps, but you don't chastise for this lapse, only describing how it can be in such a dumpy place, kinda addictive. Then for the majority of your message, you fly off into tumbling somersaults of joyful fun. It's amazing how energizing & sensory your message is. So many brilliant observations. I agree -- when down & out, I just have to look around to see all the beauty that is there for the taking! Love this kind of inspirational writing! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Very nice. I like the positivity that comes out at the end. Just like something beautiful can be made from broken pieces, light can shine from the darkest soul.

yes sure wordman
Reading the first two lines made me feel as if you spoke directly to me. It was so relatable. Your thoughts of 'darkness showing light' and guiding you is the way I discovered myself, so this poem became close to me the moment I read this.
Sometimes in life, we discover ourselves in lonely and darkest times.
