We don't like to see those that we love come to any harm what-so-ever. This is a powerful, emotional poem which touches on that raw essence that is inside, that maybe we wouldn't usually show anyone. I like how you divided the poem into two. Nice work.

i really like this ending! it shows tremendous humanity in you that killing for someone would be a greater sacrifice than dying for someone. that is truly insightful. great thought process, great write. (and thanks for answering the begging question at the end ... way to think ahead)
I get the feeling reading your words that this is how I feel about my children, if they are hurt by someone I become so insanely violent inside that the colours explode, and yes without hesitation I would kill for them, I thought this piece was very thought provoking, and in some ways very dark............for these feelings we have no control over at all.
I thought the second stanza summed it up powerfully........always love your work.
I thought this has got to be one of the most bizarre poems I've read. I read it, again, which is when I saw "My girlfriend and my gran," and then I understood why I felt something on the first read. Now, if I read this right I understand the pure violence. There are several loved ones that could turn me into a cold blooded monster, if I thought their life endangered. A killer without remorse of any kind. If I'm misreading this, I'm upping your dosage.. :) I liked it. Rain..
