I already knew my fate 

long before I met you. 

I know what is to become of me now 

and what will be of me after. 

The difference between you and I

is knowing that my acceptance

is not the same as defeat, 

as surrender.

I enjoyed this poem and its message which can apply to many thing with its open to interpretation meaning. I enjoy art that has a bit of mystery to it and is left to the reader to contemplate. Very nicely written Rae thank you for sharing.
