The Lover of My Soul

The greatest things in life I find

Have very little worth

Compared to the Lover of my Soul

Who once came down to earth

To give His life for every sin

That was born in every man

The needs of the many outweighed the One...

This was God's ultimate plan.

With love so divine and so true

How could I ever compare

The love of any mortal man

To the Saviour's compassion and care?

Living in the warmth of His radiant light

I embrace joys anew

For Jesus Christ is the lover of my soul ---

No other could ever do!

I was smiling while reading your marvelous write, I have to admit this one you really create alive poetry! God speaks in you and his work shine through your work, life is all about understanding the truth...that is only "Jesus."

You're right - after the resurrection, there will be no need for marriage; it will be obsolete. I think I'm running a little ahead of things, though. I'm not ruling out the possibility that I might still marry someday to that someone special, but I'm not putting a rush on things. God works in His time, and who am I to argue with Him? He's working on my heart to prepare me for the one he has for me on earth, and it's my job to keep in step with Jesus all the way along. I'm just a work in progress, as are we all!
