Fathers Spoken Words Dearest night of crimson flame Rebirth my shallow heart lost in a sunken grave Give to me that which faded away, Lost with the crying child I held for so long; Darkest shadow, show me the vagrant hopes Flaunting in front of me taunting my memories Of this father here on broken knees Screaming for that which, Lay motionless in my arms; Midnights ablaze setting my soul on fire Please let me spin a prayer tonight So I may see my life unburdened To see this tainted girl Die so young without a hope Without a mother to drape her mortal body For a father to Say I Love You Sweet Child A faithful shimmer of my fading hands Holding close to me that which I tried so hard to save with a crimson glow; Darling wife, please forgive me Gods whispers of relief at a sweet rebirth When I was able to here the innocent cries Of a tearful baby free of a broken heart; My tears wane for you my brilliant bride Lost under the stars giving to me that which we most desired A perfect being of our midnights love I weave this prayer under the coming dawn As I lay a light kiss of a moonlit night Whispering “Dear Child I Love You” My prayer is you reach your mother so far away Here where a father sulks on broken knees Bathed in a crimson red. -Justin Fleischhakcer- “Children Are Immortal” © 2008 Radicaldreamer |
