A Child Remembers

A Child Remembers

A Poem by Radicaldreamer
"

Story for the dying children, wars sad tears.

"

Frozen era of a new day

Awaking rebel of fates cast aside

Slumbering angel rebirths beneath me

Sweetful sorrow of my vengeful heart

Tease this dancing mayfly

So I can flaunter about as if I was nothing

Abyss of night fade this soul away

Echoes fade me to dusk

Traveler from afar welcome to this frozen land

Here where the land lay still for all time

Chilling winds staining the land as though bare of existence

Steps marked in the snow of where a child once played

Dancing the bitter cold of this reality away

As if this time was lost for just a moment now

Here where the rain may wash away these footsteps

Where the angels of this night wander in defiant

Of a gods war left in traced writing

Staining the bricks roads with more then just blood

Frozen shadows of sleeping night

Awaken this sleeping child of a crescent moon

Cradling a whispering story from a heart written in snow.
