Human ImprintA Poem by Rachel Rashid
So many places, different races
Broken hearts, worried faces 196 nation, 795 million people with no tummies to feed A world made up of discrimination, loathe and greed What about nature, society, education? What about our future generations? I see revolution, but no evolution I see violence, poverty, and pollution Could humans become extinct? Will any of us leave an imprint? What we need to understand is that we are made up of many bodies, but one soul And what happens to one, happens to all Be the change you wish to see in the world and remember you can change it with only one word What if we unite rather than fight? What if we see each other as humans, not black nor white? What if all this noise became quiet? And we're all standing in the light? Will our lives be right?
