Life's Last Moments

Life's Last Moments

A Poem by Rachel
"

What I think it will be like in the end.

"

When upon life's wares I ponder,

Mem'ries make my heart grow fonder.

Ever and after, my mind will wander,

Through thoughts of kind and complaiscent wonder.

Dreams about a pirate's plunder,

Dragons, nymphs, and Zues's thunder.

Here my dreams are torn asunder,

As I stand upon life's tower.

At my highest can go no higher,

One step, my last, ever to lower.
