The Separation

The Separation

A Poem by RachelWroteIt

I am nothing you are.

You are nothing I am.

We have nothing in common

And no common ground

On which to stand.

There used to be sorrow

There used to be anger

Now there is nothing

For me to hang on to.

So I’ll walk away

And you’ll try to follow

But it’s not going to matter

Because you are hollow.

I am the stars, I am the mountains

You are the darkness, you are the fault lines

I do not need you.

And I plan to give you nothing.
