Perfection

Perfection

A Poem by Rachel_Biggs

We want you.

We need you.

You want us.

You need us.

You want another way out?

Too bad.

There is no other way.

For you to leave,

You must become us.

And we must become you.

No. Of course it won’t hurt.

Why would you ask such a thing?

We are your friends.

We love you.

Just hold still.

It will all be over in a minute.

Close your eyes.

Everything will be fine.

The last breath of life will leave your body.

See? It doesn’t hurt. We love you.

All is peace and comfort. We love you.

Don’t struggle so. We love you.

You are making us angry.

Why would you try to hurt us?

We love you. You are our angel. Our golden light.

We will not hurt you. Death does not hurt, it perfects.

When to end our beautiful angel’s life?

See? Our angel’s halo is fading.

Ah. Perfection.
