DoomedA Poem by Rachel_BiggsYou wanted to see it happen, And it did. Ruining two lives in the process. You got what you wanted, Destroying a friendship in your path. It could have happened on its own, Without you, Or anybody else. Now it has no chance. It would have been better left alone. They would not hate you, They could have made it better. It had a chance, In time, it may have progressed. They agreed they had chemistry, But they just weren’t sure. And agreed to separate for a while, Allowing things to resolve or be disproved. Now they will never know. They admitted to having a certain spark, But not wanting to ignite a monstrous, Destructive blaze, They tried to keep it hidden. Or perhaps squelch it completely. They knew they could never work, You kept insisting, And it drove them apart. Telling them they were perfect, Made them completely separable, Where before they were inseparable. You will never know how much it made them hurt, How much they resented it. Before, They wondered, Now, they just try to forget. © 2013 Rachel_Biggs |
