My Apocalypse

My Apocalypse

A Poem by Rachel Renee

When I’m with my friends

The darkness resides

Deep within

Behind my eyes

As they leave

And the orange sun sets

The voices come

And cause my distress

My apocalypse

Has begun within

A dark chasm

A hole in my skin

Red blood fades to none

Eyes begin to close

This is how I sleep at night

Will I wake up?

I suppose....
