Remember Me

Remember Me

A Poem by Satan's Daughter

Remember me.
When the paint has chipped,
And the words have faded.
When the paper has crumpled,
And the birds have flown away.
When the waters calm,
And everyone has gone home.
Forget me.
When you move on,
And you find another.
When you think of the past,
With a heavy heart.
When you live your life,
And leave me behind.
Love me.
When you need someone,
And crave comfort.
When you are sad,
And seek sympathy.
When you feel like it,
And not before.
Hate me.
Because I want you to be happy,
But I can't give you happiness.
Because you lash out,
And I am there.
Because I deserve it,
And I won't fight back.

I really like this. The simplicity and the way the reader can relate makes this piece truly phenomenal. I love how it goes from different aspects and shows just how many different emotions one person can put in another. It is well formatted and overall a wonderful piece.
