Departures

Departures

A Poem by RachelleB

You, in the mist

as bitter droplets fall to the ground

only to evaporate

in love and resignation;

the only elements that cling

to this circular beat.

I bid you

happiness and wealth,

riches of the soul

and one small dry kiss

lost in murky waters.

Oh that we had the clarity to see through those murky waters to the solace hidden in each others hearts, then as human beings, we might not feel so left alone like orphans waiting to be taken home and loved. This was beautiful, truly beautiful.

You display really good imagery in here. I especially like the beginning. I love the last line. A very beautiful expressed piece!!!

Ok, I have to say this first... I know nothing about poetry and don't own any poetry, except for Poe of course, but I liked this one! This is one of the better poems I've read on this site. I wish i had something technical to say for you, but I just don't have enough expierence with this type of writing.

All I can say was that I really liked it. It just seemed honest.

Simply a beautiful poem, with a healthy dose of good will.
