Daun ten kara furōtingu

Jimen ni suwa~tsu

English Translation

Lotus  in  the air

floating  down  from  the  heavens

sitting  on  the  ground

Nelumbo nucifera - Under favourable circumstances its seeds may remain viable for many years, with the oldest recorded lotus germination being from that of seeds 1,300 years old recovered from a dry lake-bed in northeastern China. I love Haiku and this is wonderfully penned - great write!
