Thunder Cloud

Thunder Cloud

A Poem by Rachel Joyful

There is a thunder cloud in the sky.

It lingers close by, but tends to hide.

There is a thunder cloud in the sky.

Dark in gray, dark in nature.

There is a thunder cloud in the sky.

It darkens everything that is nearby.

It burns the trees and lights them on fire.

There is a thunder cloud in the sky.

The people run and the children cry,

for there is a thunder cloud close by.

What should we do?

Where should we go?

The people of the earth want to know.

They scream and cry out, and they run about.

Looking like little ants on the ground,

to the thunder cloud in the sky.

But what did I do?

Why do they run?

I am just trying to have some fun.

The thunder cloud question the people’s actions,

and now he begins to cry.

And his tears fall from the sky.

The people stop running,

they stop their pleas.

The people all look up, at the thunder cloud in the sky.

They look at it and wonder why,

why there is a thunder cloud in the sky.
