SleepA Poem by Rachael LeaSleep? Something about this word sounds familiar The more I try to pull it up my thoughts become unfamiliar I think I recollect something with that in the past Can you describe it to me, please be fast fast fast There’s too much to do in this hectic life of mine You have to hurry more tasks on my list I must assign You say you lay down?? Where do you find the time There’s too much to be done as the clock chimes Huh you say things flash before you eyes, Dreams? I get that without sleep
all kinds of different schemes Come on Come on what else have you got for me Don’t expect me to buy into this thing sleep so easy Pajama’s you say? Well I wear those everyday anyway Hold up did you just say what I think you said? Didn’t you know there’s other things to do with your bed? No bloodshot eyes and a new found energy? Say would you say it can keep up with me? Huh yes?? How about make up for hours lost? What would you say is the actual and marginal cost Yup yup wait did you say I can die with no sleep Hold on after these chores into my bed I’ll leap! © 2016 Rachael LeaFeatured Review
