Upgrade

Well that was an experience I’m ashamed to admit

My balance not quite set and an F I will get

I need to push a little harder in order to retain

All of this mumbo jumbo that is filling my brain

Out comes the agenda I’m marking my times

Out come my notes while theories I define

Flash cards at the ready One, two, three

I need to become a better more educated me

Balance I have learned is the key to it all

Me time, study time, and sleep to recall

Too much of one and not enough of the other

Will have me staring at my grades mumbling oh brother

This is the week to get it all straight

To change the future before it’s too late

So off to the store to buy more supplies

To bulk up on what will become my true allies

I’m not going to complain for the mistake I made

I’m simply going to study while my brain I upgrade

Balance, as you so eloquently state here, is key. We could all just carry on as we are, doing too much of the bad amongst diversions into good, but balance in all aspects of life is the key.
Education is quite rightly important and it is throughout your life. We are ever evolving and adapting to an ever changing world, where communication can be the difference between success and failure, so it makes sense to ready your arsenal for what life will throw at you.
Love the last line, honest and humorous. The flow and your rhythm are always spot on, regardless of the subject. A plus :)
