selfish happinessA Poem by Rachael LeaGoing about my day happy as can be Though I am tired, I feel completely free Working on my job and helping the kids The internet is lagging heaven forbid Unable to stop the smile on my face For my brain’s frolicking in a joyful place It’s amazing what little interactions can do How it can turn your mood around from blue A smile on your face is all that it takes To make others see you’re not easy to break And though you don’t see it others surly do You are glowing, thus attracting them to you A wink here, a silly line there, you are adorable Sweet ones you must know my heart is not affordable The price won’t come down, not even a wee little bit But if you want to continue by all means don’t quit The enjoyment it brings me to know I am seen Someday to someone I will be loved like a queen Until then though I will go about my day Knowing no matter what, that I will be okay © 2016 Rachael LeaFeatured Review
