The Gift of FriendshipA Poem by Rachael LeaHumbling in such a frightening way I come to you to speak of my day Though you are not here face to face I reach out to you as my heart begins to race Worrying if my pestering at times bothers you I can’t help but to juggle just what to do I speak to you of these troubling thoughts In nets you lay my frustrations are caught As you say “What are you so worried for” Anytime you need “Just knock at my maildoor” I am here for you that’s what friends do They confide in each other and lash out too You cannot bother me with you doubts I find it amusing when you mumble about What a wonderful gift bestowed upon me Filling my heart with so much glee © 2016 Rachael LeaAuthor's Note
