Something More

Something More

A Poem by Rachael Lea

People all around me

Going about their days

The constant flow of traffic

Nobody ever just stays

People always searching

Of what I am not sure

Their days always busy

To be better is the allure

People always leaving

Leaving to go somewhere

The grass is always greener

All the way over there

People are so unhappy

Always wanting something more

Never seeing what they have

Until there foot is out the door

Sometimes it feels like life is living us rather than us living life. W e do think the grass is always greener, for the simple fact that we must see for ourselves first hand before we can see what we have and how important it is to us. We long for the escape and adventure, that seems so far away, but in reality is so doable. We need these longings and desires to broaden our horizons fulfil the yearnings that call out to us. I have been lucky enough to see a lot of the places I thought greener and feel the better for seeing them. They always keep calling out to the heart, to pull you ever nearer completing your ambitions of one day being there. Hope you make it. :)
Beautifully captured longing, yet the plea of just living in the moment and being opens this reflective piece. Kudos.

Very true.....People just focus on what they don't have instead of what they do have....They will say 'i need x or y or z to be happy' and this is what makes them unhappy....Life is not about having, its about being....Great inspirational write Rachael.....Great job.....Full ratings....
