Shades of Love

Shades of Love

A Poem by Rachael
"

one of those cool little parentheses poems

"

He'll say (he loves you.)

(He can)'t (be trusted.)

(He will) never (be what you need.)

(He's) not (the one.)

(He will) not (kiss you) with sincerity.

He will find pleasure (in) your pain.

He's fire, you're (the rain.)

(His eyes are) fogged glasses (veiling a) cruel (soul.)

He will leave you (like) a vase, destroyed, nearly unfixable.

His temper and fist will be (yours) to appease, even when you're (broken.)

(He'll break) you, leave those words unspoken;

He won't care to break (down your walls,) he'll (forever) be hiding behind his own.

(He will) never (love you.)

What an awesome idea! Love the use of the parenthesis to show the contrast in negative and optimistic thought! 100/100!
