We live in uncertain times

In a time where people live in fear;

We hold great fear for their lives

And every day we shed deep tears.

I dream of a place where there is no worry

When bad times and war cease to exist;

My hope is that this dreamworld will hurry

So my children will see all that I missed.

We may never see a place like so

Yet I believe we can always dream;

And through these dreams we will grow

Look around and see what I mean...

Dreams are at times...
is the only thing...
that hold the world together...
If I may --- quote ---
in the start of this:

We live in uncertain times
In a time where people live in fear;
---

where people live in fear;

seems the word arrangement is much there...
but you can shorten and still give the effect of the lines...
the rhyme scheme is intact...
and the usage of "fear" twice again in the those lines...
may be put forth "anxiety"...in there to break up the pace:

We live in uncertain times
In a time where people live in fear;
We hold great fear for their lives
---
We live in uncertain times
where people live in fear;
We hold great anxiety for their lives

Yet these are just suggestions...do as you feel comfortable...
