Broken War

A poem for people to wake up and realize the ailing state of the war.

We live in a time where people can die

At the hands of others who try.

To destroy the world around us

Without making so much as a fuss.

A war rages on in the Middle East

Desert heat mixed with inhuman beasts.

America's soldiers tearing at the bit

Hoping to show off and exemplify the kids.

People fight for their beloved nation

Hoping to throw off the "free world" occupation.

Their children will take up their weapons and hate

American blood will cover their slate.

US soldiers will fight for the end and peace

How many more souls must perish before hostilities cease?
