Living The AddictionA Poem by RabbiRebikA description of addiction in general. A poem from my 2013 Published collection, Dancing Smoke on a Dark Street, available on Amazon.comWe have a contradiction That one can't relieve. It's called an addiction Something we refuse to believe, For many its a terrible deal And something we wish to lose. Yet it continues to seal Our life down the path we cruise. Time again we walk Along the boards we stay. Like ivory lines of chalk Our addiction continues to delay. A recipe for destruction That our life can cook. An era of dysfunction No help from wherever we look.
