Awakening.

Awakening.

A Poem by Randy Barnhart
"

My thoughts on life, at the moment.

"

Looking outward,
with the perspective of Squidward.
Looking inward,
that's what I was referred.
What am I searching for?
A way to end all the gore?
My opinions may be bold
but, I won't let the earth be sold.

In a world owned by few,
we all want peace
but, you sit and pray in your pew
instead of putting in some elbow grease.
Letting the military merge with the police.
Needing the next press release.

Slaving away to get by.
Each day asking "Why?"
While your leaders just sit aside.
We're all the same inside.

You are in control.
Why don't you feel whole?
You have to listen to your soul,
or you'll be stuck in existential black hole.

I often ponder existential questions seeking answers that I know I can never find. Kind of like an activist, I have bold ideas. Although I lack effort in some parts, I make up for it by lazily getting.. more..
