Summer DaysA Chapter by Rachel ElizabethThis was my narrative poem for English. I wrote it about my best friend and how our summer usually goes.
I remember all those nights,
When the stars were our only lights. And we stayed outside on the swing, Talking about life and everything. I remember every joke you made, And every video game we played, Where we'd constantly call each other names, Every time we lost a game. I remember swimming at the lake, All the pictures you wanted to take, And how badly our skin got burnt. That day my whole body hurt! I remember teaching you things, Like lyrics to all the songs we sing, And how a lake was not indoors, And to get to the UK, you need to cross ocean floors. I remember our short shorts and flip flops, And every single pit stop, And all our lazy days, Because every summer with you is great.
