Northern Downpour

Northern Downpour

A Poem by Rachel Elizabeth
"

So one of my favorite songs is called "Northern Downpour" by Panic At The Disco, so I decided to try and turn it into inspiration for a poem of my own that doesn't really relate to the song.

"

"If all our life is but a dream, fantastic posing greed then we should feed our jewelry to the sea. For diamonds do appear to be just like broken glass to me."

Escape from humanity-

Reality-

And all complete sanity.

Shatter the mirror

The shards fly everywhere

You reflection is your enemy

"Dripping eyes and flooded lungs; Norther Downpour sends its love."

Love of a figment,

An unstable torment,

And a lilium to forget.

And the rain will wash away

Every start of a new day

Filling the moments with regret

"I know the world's a broken bone, but melt your headaches--call it home."

Living in a broken home,

A world of happiness... unknown.

Each moment passed as we've grown.

We look for an outlet

Something to salvage

But still no seeds are sewn

"Hey moon please forget to fall down. Hey, don't you go down. You are at the top of my lungs; drawn to the ones who've ever yawned."

Our eyes blacken again.

Our skies darken again.

Our memories... taken again.

You know I would wait would forever

But forever is only so long for together

"Us"... well we've been broken again.
