Why not?

Why not?

A Poem by Rachel Elizabeth
"

A love thing.

"

"I write," she says.

"Write what?" he asks.

"Poetry," she replies.

"About what?" he questions.

"About you," she murmurs.

"Why me?" he wonders.

"Why not?" she whispers.

"I'm terrible." he mutters.

"Terribly sweet," she breathes.

"I'm awful," he sobs.

"Awfully amazing." She inches closer.

He bends down.

She's on tip-toes.

He kisses her gently.

She kisses back passionately.

"I love you," he sighs.

"I love you, too," she mouths.
