Escape

Escape

A Poem by Rachel Elizabeth
"

It's a terrible addiction.

"

It's a relief.

It's a sigh.

It's a tear.

It's a cry.

It's every sleepless night I spend,

Wondering if anybody will notice them.

It's ever thing we hold dear,

All the things we want to keep near.

It's my escape from all the misery;

Everything that's haunting me.

And the cuts, they still drip

From my escape that's over way too quick.

I like it. A little dark, a little mysterious. Makes it really captivating, and I want to read more.
