I Don't Know How It Goes

I Don't Know How It Goes

A Story by RW Erskine
"

I Don't Know How It Goes, Do You?

"
What do I write about?
The story of my life!
I don't know how it goes, do you?
It's a matter of question to you and me to ponder on.
This side of eternity once given is true........or false in ones perception of it all.
Do you remember or is it I've forgotten in all this distraction freely given, to what ends I do not know.
Make believe is what it is I think. It's here in one moment and gone in the next.
How could it be anything other than
Games, we all play them, in hopes to gain some more of it.
Of, 'it'!, whats 'it'?
Life I said. Don't you remember?
or have you forgotten what it is, what it's all about.
I'll tell you what, lets make believe that I am you, and you are me.
Okay now, tell me about your life.
I don't know how it goes, I've forgotten you.

The dialog is fine with me. In life, everyone asks themselves why they're here so I can relate to your thoughts. Life is a game and we learn how to play it as we go along. Life is for learning I suppose. I just wish I could figure it out without having to go through the crap. :)

This is an interesting & thought-provoking little rat’s nest of pondering. Since I’m always evolving, the way I perceive each step of my life changes. I’ve written some of my favorite stories more than once, becuz the story keep changing as my perspective does. I’ve had favorite songs that meant one thing when I first heard them, & something completely different years later. So that is why the complete fluidity of most of your observations is spot-on. It is not knowing & that’s all it is (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

thank you my friend...always a pleasure
If we switched, I wouldn’t have to. And even if I had to talk over my monologue (reality) going on in my head, it might not match the play by play; and it might confuse you anyway. Role reversal might or might not help understanding. They say walk a mile in another man’s shoes. Well, I walk in my own and very frequently I myself have no f*****g clue. Go figure.

When it comes to the story of our own life you sure don't want writer's block.
This would be a good collection of short stories .

We either forget who we are or we never knew who we were to begin with. Maybe we start where we are and work our way back to the beginning to figure it out, and once we do can we rewrite the ending?

excellent :)
So many do their "forgetting" WHILE they are living "It". This wasn't confusing and THAT says a bit all on its own. I often wonder why so many assume another categorically KNOWS other than obvious possibilities ...fortunetellers DO do a brisk business.

we really don't know how life goes and that is perhaps why we find life to be so unpredictable but as time goes by the more hurts we experience creates room for better understanding of what life is all about right?
